Differing Perspectives: The Power Of Words

A while back, I was shown a video that entirely changed the way I perceive words and the power of messaging.
If you have never seen this video before, it is less than 2 minutes long and literally and drastically changed the way I have come to view certain things in life and the way things are presented. I promise it won’t disappoint. I tear up every time I get to the end. VERY powerful, what words can do!
It also proves a larger point — that there are many ways of framing a debate or an issue. We must be open to thinking outside the box when it comes to how we speak about the things we care about. It is imperative that we learn to refine our messaging and understanding audiences, especially when it comes to Gen Y and younger Americans, who are more concerned with reality TV and the latest Hollywood installment of Kim Kardashian drama than the fact that we are broke and their kids’ kids are already in debt and less free than we are if we keep on this path.
Remember, words are powerful. It’s all in how you view them and use them. Create an impact!
