Fierce and Fabulous – “The Real Feminist”

I am proud to be a woman. I love my high heels and pearls, and finding the perfect pair of jeans is always a challenging triumph. I speak my mind, but know how to be a lady. I strive to succeed on my own merits and not because of my gender, race or class. I am a conservative woman and I am not ashamed.

But it must be difficult for the Left to accept the philosophy of ‘anything they can do, we can do better.’ Once again, conservatives are on offense — the latest example would be a newly-launched project called The Real Feminist.

The ladies over at The Real Feminist are writing over the false narrative presented by the so-called feminists of yesteryear (and yes, I’m talking about second- and third-wave feminism, stemming from the 1960′s onward). Jennifer Knight (executive director), Kira Davis (managing editor) and Kelly Maher (video editor & marketing) are taking the web by storm and sparking a perfectly-timed offensive against radical Left-wing feminazis and the pretend War on Women.

Masterfully using their web and social media presence, The Real Feminist team is setting course to liberate women from the bondage of radical feminism. It’s fabulous if you’re a stay at home mom, they say. If you want to use birth control, go right ahead–just quit asking us to pay for your bedroom adventures. Women are NOT men; we want to be equal with them, not BE them.

Combining relevant news features with cultural perspectives, The Real Feminist is changing the debate and doing it with both class and snark..

A snippet of my favorite post so far on Slutty Voters:

Apparently the slut vote has not been sufficiently rocked. Hence, RocktheSlutVote.com. Sounds classy, huh? Rock the Slut Vote is dedicated to fighting the supposed “War on Women”, presumably the one started by Rush Limbaugh and continued by the likes of filthy women haters like Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum; men who openly despise women so much that they insist the fairer sex pay for their own birth control. Quelle h’orreur!

The post then goes through RTSV.com’s list of “You Might Be A Slut If…” and provides some wonderful color commentary:

1. If you are a Liberal and/or If you are a Democrat

-No, these things do not make you a slut. They do make you stupid though. That’s based on research.

2. If you are a Republican who rejects the war on women

-I’m a Republican. And I wholly reject the war on women. It’s a ridiculous construct devised by a desperate Democrat party who is slowly coming to the realization that their leader has effectively screwed the pooch. Maybe even ate him too

7. If you voted for Hillary in 2008

-If you voted for Hilary in 2008 you aren’t a slut, but you’re probably a racist. Seriously, you voted against the potential for the first Black President? Definitely racist.

15. If you speak up when they tell you to shut up

-Oh no, no. We don’t want you to shut up. Please..keep talking. Every time you open your mouths you make conservatives more and more excited for November. Is there a way to get you on the campaign trail with the President?

“It’s time to break away from the ironically labeled women’s liberation movement. It’s time to liberate yourself.”
